Today we have an opportunity and we have a challenge. The challenge is an economy that is recovering ever-so slowly and a government that is reforming lethargically. But the opportunity is us—you, me, our community, our kids and our families.
I am running for State Senate because I believe that despite the challenges our state faces, we still have opportunities for change because we have people who care about making a difference. I don't know about you, but I love a good challenge.
As your State Senator, I will put the same drive and effort into making a difference as I am doing as your State Representative.
The State Senate seat I am running for was vacated by Derek Kilmer last year when he was elected to Congress. I believe this presents another opportunity for the 26th District. As your State Senator, I will be able to work within the majority coalition to influence transportation, budget and other policies to improve the livelihood of people in our community and help create a business environment that encourages job creation.

As a 26th District State Representative, I put the constituents’ voices first in a number of key bills and resolutions. My priorities have been and continue to be creating jobs through promoting a business-friendly environment, building our future through education, and keeping our District moving, healthy, and safe.
